In the field of metalworking contract manufacturing, the SwissFactory.Group probably offers the widest range of services in Switzerland.

In particular, the following manufacturing technologies are in the foreground:

  • Sheet metal forming
  • metal cutting process
  • Precision Mechanics
  • 3D printing
  • Metal Joining
  • Refining

lifecycle technology offering

By bringing together complementary technologies, the SwissFactory Group is creating a new market offering for Switzerland: the “Lifecycle Technology Offering”! It thus offers its customers the most optimal manufacturing technology over the entire life cycle of a product.

Dual Factory Model

To ensure that the manufacture of components can be offered competitively in Switzerland, the SwissFactory.Group has developed the “Dual Factory Model”: two factories under the same roof.

In the“Human Factory”, humans, robots, machines and IT systems work together. The“Digital Factory”, on the other hand, works — mostly at night — completely without people. This approach should reduce the manufacturing costs for many components by at least 35%, making Switzerland attractive again in comparison with Eastern Europe.

In a first phase, the Digital Factory will be built in the area of 6 technologies!

With fully automated production lines and handling robots, a factory cannot yet be operated autonomously.

Specific system applications are absolutely central. “On the one hand, there needs to be a digital “filter” that uses complex algorithms to identify those products that are best suited for the Digital Factory, and that also controls production planning. On the other hand, a digital control center system is needed that orchestrates the entire production process and communicates with other systems, especially the ERP, via interfaces. Finally, an ongoing overall optimization including live data from the process is also essential.

The heart of the Digital Factory is the application “MIAO”, which is developed by the Swiss company Misurio.

Chinese wisdom says, “When the wind of change blows, some people build walls, others build windmills.”

The SwissFactory.Group has set itself the goal of constantly developing its competencies with a strong focus on digitalisation, speed, and sustainability.
