The complexity of flying

We are proud to be the supplier of landing gears for the PC-7 MKX training aircraft of Pilatus Aircraft Works.

Before even a proposal could be drawn up, extensive discussions with the customer were necessary to clarify details and processes. In addition to mechanical components, sheet metal parts and welding assemblies are also required. Thanks to the know-how of Egro Industrial Systems AG and the welding competence of Bunorm Maschinenbau AG, these parts can be manufactured within the SwissFactory.Group. Regardless of this project, in recent years, we have successfully achieved ISO 9100 certification (aerospace, aerospace and defence industry) and have already successfully completed initial orders in this area. This ultimately convinced Pilatus that the SwissFactory.Group is the right partner for these landing gears.

However, the production of complete landing gears presents new demands on our team. A landing gear consists of 173 different individual parts, for which 61 procedural instructions must be complied with and implemented. We eagerly anticipate delivering the first landing gear to Pilatus in mid-2024.

We thank Pilatus for the trust placed in us and look forward to our continued cooperation.
