Medical engineering
CASCINATION
Develops and distributes hardware and software for medical ablation (removal, e.g. tumour treatments) and for the computer-controlled insertion of hearing implants. SwissFactory Engineering AG was selected in cooperation with the Bern University of Applied Sciences as a partner for the further development and industrialization of the customer's current projects. The Bern-based company also uses our offer to deploy employees of SwissFactory Engineering AG on-site at the customer's premises. This simplifies communication and increases efficiency. The varied tasks include collaborating with designers and other engineering offices and further developing various components. Here, our group's enormous technology scope helps realize as many components as possible within the group.
In addition to the new developments, many existing components are also industrialized; thus, the production and assembly costs are reduced. Here are some concrete examples:
- The industrialization of expensive milling prototypes into low-cost, lightweight sheet metal parts;
- Concept adjustments on milled parts (incl. clarification of after-treatments and coating) to meet high design requirements;
- The mechanical design of PCBs / light guides;
- The production support for laser welding parts.
We thank CASCINATION for their trust in us and look forward to further cooperation.
