Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge

For two large bridge projects of our customer, we were able to fabricate a total of 26 winches with a load capacity of up to 180t. Thanks to our modern infrastructure, it was possible to manufacture all components under one roof. We milled the winch drums with a diameter of 1'200 mm and a length of 3'170 mm on our DMU 600 P. In addition, the following works were carried out: welding of all parts with corresponding testing, mechanical processing and assembly, painting, assisting with commissioning and loading into containers.

The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge is a road link between Hong Kong, Zhuhai and Macao. The Chinese infrastructure project consists of several bridges, tunnels and artificial islands at the Pearl River Delta. Since its completion on November 14, 2017 or the opening for traffic on October 24, 2018, the bridge is considered the longest overwater bridge in the world.
